ANNISTON, AL (January 11, 2021) – Southern States Bank is pleased to announce that Adam Carter has recently joined their Carrollton, Georgia office as vice president and commercial banking officer. Adam will be responsible for growing and originating new deposit and commercial loan relationships, primarily in the West Georgia market.
With over 15 years of banking experience specializing in relationship banking and commercial lending, Adam joins Southern States Bank from Bank OZK where he served the last 10 years as vice president, commercial banker. He managed a large commercial portfolio and consistently achieved and exceeded his business development goals helping to grow the bank’s portfolio. In addition, he has considerable experience on the credit side as he served as a credit officer for Community & Southern Bank for four years.

Adam has a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Finance from The University of West Georgia, as well as an ABA Commercial Lending Certificate from Southern Methodist University in Texas.
