Signing into Online Banking

  • If you currently use online banking with Southern States Bank (SSB), you will log in with your normal credentials in the new app and on the new website.
  • You will no longer have to answer security questions when logging into online banking. When logging into our platform for the first time, you will be prompted to set up 2 Factor Authentication (2FA). This is an extra layer of security that allows you to enter a code at login. You have the choice to have codes sent to an authenticator app or cell phone.
    • If you want to change your 2FA cell phone number, call your local branch and we can delete the old number.
  • You will have the ability to set a four-digit PIN and use Face ID on the mobile app.

Transactions

  • SSB accounts and external accounts will all appear on your Account Dashboard. On the Transactions Dashboard (underneath Accounts) you will see all transactions that have been completed with any of your SSB accounts. The account number or nickname will appear underneath the transaction.
  • In order to see transactions for a specific account, do the following:
    • For a SSB account, click on the account in the Account Dashboard. On the desktop version, transactions will appear. On the mobile version, you will see the screen below. Click on Transactions to view all transactions.

  • For any external account, clicking on the account in Account Dashboard will automatically pull up the transactions on the account.
    • Sometimes, transactions from external accounts don’t populate in the system until two business days after they occur.

Viewing RDA Limits

  • Customers can view their RDA limits from both the mobile version and online banking. To do so, please do the following:
    • Navigate to Deposit Checks > Deposit a Check > click on Deposit Limits > your deposit limits will populate.

eStatements

  • To view eStatements, you will need to navigate to the eStatements tab.
    • This will be found in the middle of the screen on the desktop site, as well as after clicking into each account on both the desktop site and mobile app.

  • You will be redirected to the eStatements site, where you can choose which statement to view.
  • To add an account to eStatements, choose Sign Up/Changes from the eStatements site.
  • Check the box next to each account you’d like to set up for eStatements, then click Save Settings.

Linking External Accounts

  • One of the new features we have access to is the Insights tab, which allows you to link external accounts to your online banking dashboard.
  • To add an external account to your dashboard, navigate to Accounts > Link an Account. You’ll be prompted to accept the terms and conditions by clicking Next, then you will search for your other financial institutions.

  • After an account is added, you will see it on your Account Dashboard. You can also click into any item within the Insights tab to create budgets, set goals and view cashflow.

Hiding Accounts

  • To hide an account from your Accounts Dashboard, you will need to do the following:
    • Click on their name in the bottom left corner of the screen > Account Settings > click on the account you want to hide > toggle off Display in Online and Mobile Banking.

Cash Management Customers

Online Banking Dashboard

  • In your new online banking dashboard, you will see one of two things on your left menu:
    • A Payments dropdown that lists Positive Pay, ACH and Wires as dropdown menu items.
      • This is for customers that have access to all three items.
    • A tab for each of the features that you have access to: Positive Pay, ACH or Wires.
      • If you don’t have access to all three of these features, the ones you do have access to will appear in your list.
  • You will also see a Cash Management tab. This tab will take you to the old website, so please do not use it unless you cannot successfully complete Positive Pay, ACH or Wires in the new site.
  • If you cannot access your full EDI information, you can access it through the Cash Management tab.
  • Company admins must set up new users for their team members and send them a link to enroll. This feature isn’t currently available for bank staff to set up for you, but it’s in the works.

Positive Pay

  • The new online banking system requires the file format for Positive Pay files to match the below screenshot. If your accounting software does not allow for the exact formatting below, please reach out to your bank contact for our Positive Pay template and instructions.
    • Only the first four columns are required.

ACH

  • To create an ACH, click on Create ACH in the upper right-hand corner of the screen (the leftmost option). To upload a NACHA file, click on Upload ACH (the middle option).

  • When creating an ACH, after selecting the company name, the below fields will appear that you will fill out to create a batch. Click Create Batch.

  • You will be redirected to the ACH home screen. Click on the batch you want to approve. Click Review and Initiate to initiate the ACH.

  • When uploading a NACHA file, the below screen will populate. Add your file and click Submit.

Wires

  • To create a wire, click on Create Wire in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

  • On the Create Wire screen, you will fill in all information for the Wire Name, From, To, and Amount fields. The Notes filed is optional, and you can check the Save as Template box to create a template.
  • On the Recipient Screen, be sure to click Find Institution to enter in the routing number or bank name. They will autofill into the blanks shown on the right screen below. DO NOT enter the receiving financial institution information on the screen below.

  • Click Create Wire to create the wire. You will be redirected to the Wire home screen. Click on the batch you want to approve. Click Review and Initiate to initiate the wire.
